ESTETIKA REMEDIAL: REKONSTRUKSI MAKNA DAN PRAKTIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA

Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi makna dan praktik pembelajaran remedial dalam mata pelajaran bahasa dan sastra melalui pendekatan estetika remedial. Selama ini, pembelajaran remedial cenderung dipahami secara sempit sebagai aktivitas korektif yang hanya berorientasi pada pencapaian nilai minimal. Hal ini berdampak pada terpinggirkannya aspek afektif, estetis, dan kultural dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis literatur terkait konsep estetika dalam pendidikan, filsafat pendidikan kritis, serta praktik pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa estetika remedial memandang remedial sebagai ruang pemulihan yang humanis dan kreatif, yang menghargai ekspresi individual, pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan, serta dialog yang membebaskan. Pendekatan ini berpijak pada pemikiran Ki Hadjar Dewantara, John Dewey, dan Paulo Freire yang menempatkan seni, kebebasan, dan kemanusiaan sebagai inti pendidikan. Estetika remedial membuka peluang pembelajaran remedial yang transformatif, bukan hanya memulihkan capaian akademik, tetapi juga memulihkan kepercayaan diri, minat belajar, dan hubungan dialogis antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan pendekatan estetika remedial sebagai strategi pedagogis dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna dan memanusiakan.
